First day in paris, we went straight to Louvre museum, we took metro line 1 stop at palais royal mus e du lourve , the thing is if you take underground you wont get to see the pyamide straight away till u reach the atrium itself, but the interior of the museum is really nice. Really stunning when you look out of the museum through the pyramide itself:>
view from the ground floor of museum through the pyramide:>
The museum got lots of collection, but ofcourse the best of all, The mona lisa smile, most of the tourist come here just for the painting itself, ofcourse there are those art lovr who really appreciate the painting, but mostly is becourse it is so famous that you have to see it, and we are the later:> haha…i have to see it, cos it is famous and is the original piece from the Da Vinci:> And the piece was kept in the Denon hall.
Obviously the french knows that mostly people are after this piece of art, the sign is everywahere:>
As we climbed the endless staircases, we were wondering, how will the painting really looks like? hmmmmmm, better be good..
and atlast, after good 10 minutes of walking and climbing, we sw the painting:>
And i snap a picture of it, ofcourse as you all know, most of the museum will prohibite people from taking photoes on their painting, including this one, but people just cant be bother, once in a life time, if not take picture, how to show off to other people that i have actually seen the painting? hahahaaaaaaa…so, the camera flashes are everywhere despite of the officer were shouting in french that no photo taking allowed, some of them even get pull to the side and given verbal warning…anyway, i manage to take a not so good snap:>
The mona lisa, the painting itself is not really big, about card board size, and it doesnt really looks like what those books described, she actually looks quite ghostly in the painting. maybe too much camera flashes:> well..thre are so many other paiting in th e hall that looks much better than this one..is it becouse the painter is da vinci or becouse the story behind the painting? I dont know, power of fame..
After the mona lisa, we moved on to see other thing, and i just realise that we passed by another famous sclpture without even realise that is another world class famous piece-venus de Milo.well, it just looks like any other piece of sculpture in the hall, and also any other rome sculture that people like to display in their garden fountain..huahuaaaaaa, it show how much i dun know about art..
My sister posing with the ancient wall sculpture:>

Anyway, most of the journey i was sleeping, becos i came straight from night shift.

Night shift, in HDU, not too bad, still got time to update my blog:>
One of the patient is trying so hard to cough out his phlegm, how uncomfortable it is when the phlegm stuck in ur throat and cant get it out? Cant really imagine right now, but i know is even more uncomfortable to have to stay by the bed site watching and cant do anything..nebs doesn’t work, even suction cant get it all out,i tried to give him chest physio also cannot, bless him, guess have to wait till morning for the real physio to attend, hahaa.
Suddenly i remember my late grandpa when he was in the hospital, i was taking care of him during the night, he was so very chesty , as the hospital suction system was really ancient, i decided to give him some chest physio myself, it was middle of the night, the hospital was dead quiet, only two other patients were in the bay, i was patting his chest and asking him to cough at the same time, suddenly this super senior assistant nurse marched out from the room, both hand on her waist with her super loud voice:" What are you doing middle of the night making so much noise? Other patient need to sleep you know!! Stop it now!!" " but he is very chesty and he cant cough out.." " Is OK, his breathing is fine..keep your voice down, ask him not to cough so loud!!"
wow, that was something, how about your own voice? my mum and relative used to tell me all kind of horrible stories about nurses in the hospital: they will use the needle to prick your skin if you shout in pain when they are giving you stitches. They will leave ur wound unattended if u complain to the doctor that they din do the dressing properly! My cousin even said to me:" you sure you wanna become a nurse? nurses are all sadist and you will become no feeling towards life and death one day!!"
Sounds really scary and sad, nurses at that generation may really be the queen of the ward, you have to obey them and put everything under their mercy, and i never doubt their stories, i know it is true. I used to nurse those old patient who was absolutely terrified of nurses and dr, "scared they will scold me.."they said.
Guess when you are too long in the profession you become a robot, patient is just a patient..I dont know, may be there are days that i feel this way, but that still doesnt explain why do you need to prick people with needle..But i feel glad that i was told all these stories and even saw it myself, it remind me constantly not to become one of them, there are always reason y people in pain and be xtra difficult, just have to try to put urself in their shoes and you will understand, ofcourse when u cant, dont bother, move on, there are people just born to be pain and difficult:>
Well, nursing is nursing, to nurse and provide comfort, so to my fellow nurses friends, we are always the best, make the profession proud and be proud of our self:> got to go, my patient need some tender loving care now..
Never buy any air ticket from Transinexx in singapore!!!!!!!!!
My sister bought a ticket from them not long ago from above travel agency, she wanted to buy a open ticket, then she was told that there is no such thing as open ticket now,(??? Duhhh) but she can have this ticket that is valid for one year, but must have a fix date of return, if she wanna change the ticket, she can do so by paying extra 75 singapore dollars.
So, my sister got the ticket from them, and now that she decided to change her date of returning home, we called the travel agent, ask my friend to transfer the money in to their account, and this is the reply we get:……… Please tell your family in singapore that you need to pay another SGD 170 to get you ticket revalidated, actually, the ticket that you bought is strictly no date exchange but Qantas is flexible enough to combine your used fare with a higher fare that allowed you to travel from 17/9 to bla bla bla bla blaaaaaaaa
Ass hole!! Who sold me the ticket in the first place and tell me that it can be change anytime within the year with only 75 dollars?? I know there is no black and white written , but u are a travel agency, and as a client, we trusted you. and apparently this agency was recommented by some of the major airline, and you cannot even tell your client the correct information, might as well close it down!!
Piss me offffffffff……….
